Problem: OSHA is continuing its crackdown on combustible dust hazards. A Common issue in most pulp, paper, board, and plywood plants is the dust that is generated from the materials be conveyed in and through the plant.

Solution: We engineered a chute to soft load the material on the conveyor which greatly reduces the velocity of air introduced at the transfer point thus minimizing air-born dust fines.  We also installed our Max Zone transfer point technology.  This utilizes a double-lip urethane skirt with an adjustable interior wear liner which is all maintained from the outside of the conveyor.  This eliminates the need for confined space entry during maintenance for adjustment and replacement of wear materials.
